NorthCape was established in January 2012 as a partnership between the employees and shipping professionals. We have since originated, structured and closed leasing and financing transactions in excess of USD 18 billion. In addition, we provide advisory services in respect of sale, purchase, chartering and financing of shipping, cruise, offshore and aviation assets. Our clients include listed and private companies globally. NorthCape enjoys an excellent network of relations with leasing companies, shipping banks as well as private and institutional investors. The footprint in Asia and our relationship to Chinese leasing companies is unique with financing transactions executed with 13 different lessors. In addition, we have broad experience with Japanese lease arrangers and counterparties. During 2018, the effort to penetrate aviation finance business brought success with the structuring of finance leases for four narrow-body commercial aircrafts. This initiative has continued to develop with several new transactions in 2019. We have developed a strong international finance intermediary, having arranged and closed more than 229 assets (aircrafts and ships) since 2012 in 84 separate transactions. Most of the volume comes from our performance and shall be matched against the standards of industry peers in terms of quality, diligence and execution.
