At Mekhala, we are dedicated to creating a better life with great, wholesome and sustainable Asian foods. Mekhala means Goddess in Thai, and our aim is to help our customers create healthy, delicious Asian meals with ease. Our Asian pastes, sauces, condiments and dressings are certified organic, vegan, gluten-free, contain no artificial additives. All our products are prepared, made, bottled and labelled by hand in small batches. Every Mekhala product is created in accordance with the principles of mindfulness and healthfulness. We use: - organic, non-GMO, natural and gluten-free ingredients - no egg, dairy, animal or artificial ingredients - no nuts - only Himalayan pink salt and coconut sugar (which are less processed than table salt and white sugar) We are committed to the farming community in Northern Thailand, from whom we procure organic, non-GMO, clean-farmed or natural ingredients at fair prices. We provide good working conditions and fair practices for women from the marginalised Burmese Shan community to improve their welfare, and we have developed a system that allows us to hire even those who are illiterate .
