The 85 SOHO name was first established to reflect the street name, 85 Boyar Nyunt Street, Dagon Township, Yangon, Myanmar, where 85 SOHO Yangon is located. The number 85, in particular, was selected due to its strong links with the attitude of perseverance and the ability to accomplish great tasks vis-à-vis business ventures. Since 85 SOHO Yangon started as a Small Office Home Office (SOHO)-type residence, new businesses could register the building address with authorities to start trading in Yangon. Today, the 85 SOHO brand has grown exponentially since its establishment in 2015, with operations in Myanmar, Singapore, and soon expanding to other ASEAN countries. It is now widely renowned as an award-winning serviced residence provider, after cinching the Best Serviced Apartment Developer award at the PropertyGuru Awards Ceremony 2017.
