Suriya Trading Enterprises (S) Pte Ltd and KNP Trading Pte Ltd (Housebrand) originated from KNP Trading Company, founded in 1958 by Sri K N Unnithan. His vision was to make home food preparation easier for housemakers. Guided by his principles, Housbrand strives to stay true to its motto till today; Enhancing Food Experience. Initially, the business started with a spice grinding factory in Singapore's Naval Base area, offering ground spices and flour under the House Brand. Over time, the company expanded its product range to include spice mixes, instant mixes, bottled spices, and specialty flour, growing from a small operation of 5 staff to over 80 employees. In 2018, Suriya moved to a state-of-the-art, multi-storey facility at 50 Senoko Drive, featuring fully automated spice processing, packaging, and food manufacturing lines. The company continually innovates while maintaining core principles of integrity, quality, and service, serving diverse markets across Singapore and beyond.
