ABOUT US GA Circular is a research & strategy firm specialising in circular economy, waste management and recycling. Started in 2011, GA Circular is a certified B Corporation social business. WHY Since our founding in 2011 one issue kept popping up consistently in all our sustainability projects: waste. Each year our world throws away USD 80-120 billion worth of post-consumer waste. By 2050, we’ll have more plastics in the oceans than fish. Asia is the biggest contributor to this profound mismanagement. Waste generation in developing Asia will grow by two to four times by 2025, yet landfills are already overflowing. We are on a mission to tackle the fast-growing streams of packaging, food and electronic materials in Asia and to help unlock business opportunities from post-consumer waste. We envision a 'World Without Waste'. WHAT WE DO We have research and strategy expertise in completing baseline material flow and value chain studies, policy evaluations, extended producer responsibility guidance, waste segregation pilots, waste audits, informal sector research, recycling technology feasibility, behaviour change campaigns. Over the years, we have built extensive networks and relationships across Asia, especially in Southeast Asia and India, with key stakeholders including: national and local government, industry coalitions, informal sector, recyclers, NGOs, academia, multilateral institutions. Our team’s technical and on-ground expertise in waste management and recycling, business, economics and policy research and strategy impacting the packaging and food waste.
