Ah Pau Chop began as a family business handed down from one generation to another while upholding the family motto of ‘The root of Chinese Heritage’. The company has made significant progress since its humble beginnings as a small retail cart selling dried provisions along the Singapore River in the 1950s and along Teo Chew Street in the early 1960s. Ah Pau Chop was officially established as a partnership business in 1976 and transformed itself into a wholesale-cum-retail business model, serving major restaurant chains and the general population, situated at Victoria Street Wholesale Centre in Bugis. Over the decades, Ah Pau Chop continued to serve its customers with dedication and has now become a popular go-to destination for festive goods by Singaporeans during the Lunar New Year festive season. Today, the business has relocated to the Victoria Wholesale Centre in Kallang and continues to garner a strong following by its clientele.
